Review: Feels App Social Anxiety Platform

Feels App - Social Anxiety Platform

This is a review of the Feels App – Social anxiety platform. We sometimes make money by recommending products, but we always give our honest opinion. Read more here.

As we mentioned in our article Overcome Social Anxiety Online – 3 Services That Can Help You, seeking help can be hard. Finding a good CBT-therapist you like usually takes some time, and can be quite tricky. Especially if you don’t live in a metropolitan area. A good alternative is to overcome social anxiety online.

There are many alternatives out there, from online CBT-therapists and guides to self-help platforms. In this article, we will review Feelsapp.io, perhaps the cheapest online solution (at least the cheapest we tested).

What is it?

Feels is an online platform that works on all computers and smartphones. It is based on self-studies and provides a lot of content about social anxiety that you can go thru at your pace. The information is divided into eight lessons:

  • What Is Social Anxiety?
  • How Does Social Anxiety Work
  • An Example Of Social Anxiety
  • Identify Thinking Patterns
  • Changing Your Thoughts
  • Safety behaviors
  • Self-Awareness
  • Exposure

The material in the platform seems to follow the principles of CBT-therapy where breaking your negative thought patterns is the first priority, and then start exposure training by entering situations you fear. Feels provide you with workbooks for most chapters. These can for example be about logging your negative thoughts, coming up with more balanced thoughts or identify your safety behaviors.

I addition to the education and workbooks you also get exercises and challenges. The exercises seem to be about self-growth and are carried out on your own. They can be anything from practicing speeches in front of the mirror to studying other peoples behavior in social situations. The challenges on the other hand is an introduction to exposure, i.e you will have to face your fears a little bit by completing different tasks. Examples of that include making phone calls to strangers or ask someone out.

How much is it?

Feels comes with a one-time price of $39. You pay it when you create an account and then have access to the platform and content forever. No subscriptions or “premium content” that costs extra.

How good is it?

We like this platform. It’s quite basic but provides the most important information in a very clear and easily accessible way. The platform also looks nice and is filled with graphics and models that help convey the message. We definitely think it’s worth 39 bucks if you’re looking to overcome social phobia.

Who is it for?

We believe this platform to be a good fit if you want more information about social anxiety as well as concrete actions to take towards overcoming it. If you recently realized you suffer from social anxiety and what to learn more – this is a great fit.

However, you can probably find more comprehensive information elsewhere, so if you’ve already read multiple social anxiety books or worked with a CBT-therapist before, other solutions could be more effective for you.

Not sure if you suffer from SAD? Take out social anxiety test and find out.
